Good tight copy, boards with a little edge chipping. Not dated but 1925 from Wain's Bibliography. [Louis Wain, 1860 - 1939, was an English artist best known for his drawings, which consistently featured anthropomorphised large-eyed cats and kittens. In his later years he may have suffered from schizophrenia, although this claim is widely disputed among many specialists if this is true or not, which, according to some psychiatrists, can be seen in his works]. 136 pages all original in HB decorated covers with inset past down of two Wain cats. Six pages Tuck ads bound in to rear. This is definately a reading copy. Most of the illustrations have been coloured in by enthusiastic past owners! However it is complete with all edges gilt, and a chance to own one at a reasonable price. Not dated but 1914. The cover very reminiscent of Louis Wain (see above center). The only artist accredition we can find is "L. Church".
